https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=335502 Summary: Yast "Package Selector" application opens an insane number of focus stealing dialogs Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: openSUSE 10.3 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: YaST2 AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: dennis_cranston@yahoo.com QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: --- When I select "Install Software" from the Computer menu, the Yast "Package Selector" application displays at least 20 different dialog windows while the application updates its list of available packages. Each of these dialogs steals the keyboard focus which makes it impossible for me to be productive. I recommend two solutions: 1. Do not open more than one dialog, just use a single dialog for displaying the status messages 2. Do not allow a dialog to steal the keyboard focus (for example, use the freedesktop.org startup-notifcation API) Thanks. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
