1.) After manual installation of rpm using command "zypper install
java-1_6_0-sun", the symlinks in /etc/alternatives are handled correctly and
they point to a new jre.
2.) After updating system using command "zypper update", the symlinks are
broken as described above.
I expect, that the problem is caused by using delta rpm instead of "full" rpm
package.
