After the update from OpenSuSE 10.2 to OpenSuSE 10.3 i can't get my existing
drbd-devices running. During the update drbd changed form version v07 to
version v08 and the format of the drbd-devices is incompatible.

In the documentation of drbdadm and drbdmeta there is a notice that
drbdadm/drbdmeta will detect an existing metadisk and ask me to convert it to
the new version.

After invoking drbdadm i got an message that there is no v07 or v08 magic found
and i will be asked to create a new drbd meta data block. If i say yes on this
place my existing drbd-disc is destroyed.

Here is tho output of the drbdadm-command:

drbdadm create-md wastemail
v08 Magic number not found
v07 Magic number not found
About to create a new drbd meta data block
on /dev/vg-xen2/wastemail.

==> This might destroy existing data! <==

Do you want to proceed?
[need to type 'yes' to confirm] yes

Creating meta data...

Is there perhaps another way to convert a old drbd-disk to the new format, i
found only this in the documentation?
