This is probably due not to the ehci driver itself, but the fact that ubuntu
has a patch that auto-suspends some devices in their kernel (hubs), while we do
not.

So this is as designed, we did not feel it was safe enough to add this type of
change so late in the release cycle.

If you want to try out the 2.6.23 kernel package (the latest
kernel-of-the-day), it should show this same improvement.

I'm going to close this out as something we can't do anything about for 10.3
