Conf file created/used by SaX2 during upgrade

I upgraded from openSUSE 10.2 and wanted to enable the 3D acceleration, but
SaX2 told me at startup that my board does not support 3D accel.
In the Samsung Q35 is a Intel 945 GM graphic chip.
After removing the xorg.conf file and running SaX2 again, the 3D acceleration
check box appears on the "Card and Monitor Properties" page and I could switch
it on.
Comparing the old and the new xorg.conf file shows that there is an other
driver used in the new file. It seems that during the upgrade no new hardware
detection is run and the old xorg.conf file is used.
I attach both config files, maybe you can figure out why SaX2 chooses a wrong
driver.
