https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=334592#c304229 Summary: Flash plugins, possibly other do not register on 64-bit openSUSE 10.3 -- nspluginwrapper segfaults Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: openSUSE 10.3 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Firefox AssignedTo: bnc-team-mozilla@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: martin@martinm-76.dk QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- I have just (about an hour ago) finished installing openSUSE 10.3 64-bit on my workstation, but even though /usr/lib64/browser-plugins contains lines that should link flash-player and helix to firefox and konqureror, they do not show up. Only the dummy nswrapper plugins is listed. If I or the system run nswrapperscan, it segfaults (as normal user as well as root) nspluginviewer -a -i seemingly does nothing (it probably has already done its part) nspluginwrapper -v -a -u does show some text about updating flash and helix, but they still do not work in the browsers, not even show up. dmesg gives me this output: npviewer.bin[8299]: segfault at 0000000000000006 rip 0000000000000006 rsp 00000000bfb91168 error 14 npviewer.bin[8308]: segfault at 0000000000000006 rip 0000000000000006 rsp 00000000bf8da6b8 error 14 npviewer.bin[8716]: segfault at 0000000000000006 rip 0000000000000006 rsp 00000000bf85c468 error 14 npviewer.bin[8730]: segfault at 0000000000000006 rip 0000000000000006 rsp 00000000bfa29c58 error 14 gtk-query-immod[9400]: segfault at 0000000000000006 rip 0000000000000006 rsp 00000000ffebcae8 error 14 gdk-pixbuf-quer[9401]: segfault at 0000000000000006 rip 0000000000000006 rsp 00000000ffe862b8 error 14 npviewer.bin[10257]: segfault at 0000000000000006 rip 0000000000000006 rsp 00000000bfb89168 error 14 npviewer.bin[10266]: segfault at 0000000000000006 rip 0000000000000006 rsp 00000000bfa43028 error 14 npviewer.bin[10337]: segfault at 0000000000000006 rip 0000000000000006 rsp 00000000bfce42c8 error 14 npviewer.bin[10346]: segfault at 0000000000000006 rip 0000000000000006 rsp 00000000bfdb1b98 error 14 Tried again after saying /etc/init.d/boot.apparmor stop, but it did not seem to change anything.... Looked at #304229 listed in annoying bugs. None of the things listed there gets be a working flash plugin. What information do you need to get to the bottom of this? I have not disabled any APIC, ACPI or similar stuff, although that was needed previously in certain cases, most notably Xen (not running at present). -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
