Hmm, no, jfs-tools package will propably not be the culprit here. After several
hours, I cannot say where the problem was or is. It seems from the source code,
that reserved_sectors should be set in every case nonzero (the program ends
with "bogus number of sectors" kernel message if and only if reserved_sectors
variable is set to zero). Because neither me nor you can this reproduce and we
haven't got image of broken fat, we must wait for another bugreport for this
problem. Therefore I am closing this as WORKSFORME.
On the other hand, the initial problem is solved and I will send this patch
upstream to see if it is correct or not.
