Again, sorry for the delay. Moving takes a lot of time. :-( Can you post
/var/log/boot.msg? If the option is applied, your drive is configured for PIO
and it's slow and burns a lot of cpu cycles. I think libata midlayer or its
low level drivers (at least ata_piix and pata_ali) could be doing something
wrong regarding MWDMA. I'm not quite sure what yet. I'll take another look
through the code.
