Tomcat55 does not do a successful start after installation or from
Yast/System/Services.

/usr/share/tomcat5(5)/start.log
should be:
/usr/share/tomcat55/logs/start.log

and

/etc/tomcat5(5)/tomcat5(5).conf
should be
/etc/tomcat55/tomcat55.conf

presumably this JAVA_HOME should point at whatever java is being used when
changed by: update-alternatives --config java

I had been used 10.2 and 10.3 and noticed this undocumented and annoying
difference
