The vendor-specific ACPI modules are loaded automatically by /etc/rc.d/acpid,
this includes thinkpad_acpi.
I remember similar results with other modules loaded by the init scripts. For
some reason it seems that blacklisting doesn't work in this case, and I
consider it a bug.

I did not load sensors modules or anything else actively.
The vendor-specific ACPI modules are loaded automatically by /etc/rc.d/acpid,
this includes thinkpad_acpi.
FYI: I also put the modules from Comment #8 to /etc/init.d/blacklist, hwmon
and thinkpad_acpi were loaded anyway.

some reason it seems that blacklisting doesn't work in this case, and I
consider it a bug.
