Thanks. Switching to "Logitech USB Gaming Mouse" driver means switching to a complete different driver ("evdev" instead of "mouse"). I think we should try to figure out, why the mouse wheel no longer works after the kernel and "mouse software upgrade". BTW, what do you mean with "mouse software upgrades"?
I was only vaguely aware of all the 'stuff' that was part of the upgrade that came in with the new kernel which included some yast and modules (I'm sure with the kernel), but I vaguely remember seeing the word 'sound' in the list but it didn't stick. Unfortunately, those logs are long gone so I can't refresh my memory so I'll just answer whatever came in at the same time when the gaming mouse driver was pushed out. It actually took me a while to realize I had lost the wheel because I rarely log off and never reboot so the old drivers were still in memory for some hours after the update and I didn't make the association immediately. FWIW, for the first timee since Alpha testing began, *everything* on my system is working including my hardware raid controller driver and VMWare and MD raid. Eight drives working 2.5TB all working, Sound working, 1gb Lan working, everything except the 10.3GM REPAIR modules (another bug) so this machine is now online, finally, thanks to a lot of work from a lot of you guys. I will be putting together another test machine in the near future to try to be of assistance with the 11.0 Alpha/beta testing. One of my machines ate a power supply but when it is back up, it is the candidate for testing if you need testing that could be destructive in any way. I am more than willing to help. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
