I agree 100% with the OP. I think in Gnome, "More application" shouldn't be a
button, it should be an entry that shows a submenu with application categories
(Internet, Office, Utilities, Graphics, etc...) and when you put your mouse
over "Office", you get all office-related applications. KDE does it very
nicely, and with no latency :-)
On my old computer it takes several seconds to load the application browser on
openSUSE.
