I have the same problem: At first, suspend to disk an ram worked out of the box
on my Thinkpad R60e with 10.3 final. Now, both are disabled in Kpowersave,
buttons produce the error message stated above, after rebooting *sometimes* the
menuentries are enabled. s2ram and s2disk work.

Anything to do with "Unknown username gdm" in my boot.msg?
