https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=332278 Summary: Unwanted adding of update mirror Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Final Platform: x86 OS/Version: openSUSE 10.2 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Update Problems AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: zaloha@volny.cz QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: Customer I have strange problem... In update sources in YAST I added these URLs: ftp://ftp.hosteurope.de/mirror/ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/update/10.2 ftp://mirror.switch.ch/pub/suse/update/10.2 ftp://ftp.skynet.be/pub/ftp.suse.com/suse/update/10.2 ftp://ftp5.gwdg.de/pub/suse/update/10.2 I change sometimes on/off status of these four possibilities - all is OK, updates from any of them are relatively reliable and fast . But now the problem: there is "something", what periodically adds another UNWANTED mirror to these sources. The mirror has URL http://ftp.chg.ru/pub/Linux/SuSE/suse/update/10.2 and is 1) extremely slow, 2) often down (unreachable) => that's why the openSUSE updater applet shows error... Although I manually delete this mirror, next time it is back....I can't undestand it. I have two PC in one subnet (domain) with equal sources - the problem appears only on one of them... Is somewhere any possibility to forbid such automatical adding of update source? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
