I have configured you.suse.de as update source for testing updates.
Two problems after I applied the kernel update from that source.
1. menu.lst contained only "Diskette" as entry. I solved that by copying old
menu.lst.old back to menu.lst.

Looks like this results from the mkinitrd failure (entry was removed in
postun.sh but not added in post.sh). Anyway, since post.sh returns with an
error code of 1, the user should be warned:

83 if ! /sbin/mkinitrd -k /boot/@IMAGE@-@KERNELRELEASE@ \
84 -i /boot/initrd-@KERNELRELEASE@; then
85 echo "/sbin/mkinitrd failed" >&2
86 exit 1
87 fi

The only bug I see here is that mkinitrd should not fail because of a splashy
error => see the attached patch.
