I have configured you.suse.de as update source for testing updates. Two problems after I applied the kernel update from that source. 1. menu.lst contained only "Diskette" as entry. I solved that by copying old menu.lst.old back to menu.lst.
Looks like this results from the mkinitrd failure (entry was removed in postun.sh but not added in post.sh). Anyway, since post.sh returns with an error code of 1, the user should be warned: 83 if ! /sbin/mkinitrd -k /boot/@IMAGE@-@KERNELRELEASE@ \ 84 -i /boot/initrd-@KERNELRELEASE@; then 85 echo "/sbin/mkinitrd failed" >&2 86 exit 1 87 fi The only bug I see here is that mkinitrd should not fail because of a splashy error => see the attached patch. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
