https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=331698 Summary: Kernel Timer Runs 10 Times Faster Than Normal Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Final Platform: IA64 OS/Version: openSUSE 10.3 Status: NEW Severity: Critical Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: jmcdaniel@trane.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Customer October 7, 2007 PC Clock is running 10 Times Normal Speed. If you bring up "Adjust Time & Date" you see the second hand taking large jumps, each a minimum of 4 seconds and some even more. Six minutes goes by for each real minute of time. MP3 files plays very fast, with a 3 min song taking under 30 seconds to play. Even when KDE is starting, the SuSE image has a high speed dot going round and round. I had to turn off the keyboard repeat function in order to enter any text with the keyboard, else you have many key repeats. All functions that use the internal clock are sped up. I did two installs on this PC and both do the same thing. I also has SuSE 10.2 and Windows XP on the same machine and neither this have a problem.
