Hi Jiri,

This bug(293100) is not resolved as it was closed with a comment #10 From Lukas
Ocilka 2007-09-12 04:55:27 indicating that it was to be implemented in a later
release.

As a result of this comment I re-created it as 325554. This bug report, and
293100, are about allowing a user to specify a location where the contents of
the installation DVD and package updates are stored prior to installation. This
location can then also be used by other networked users, if required, to update
their machines. An install  of 10.2 on a new computer networked into the
updates store would  require a substantial number of updates that could be
retrieved from the local store as opposed to the bandwidth usage over the
internet.
