the problem is with the Intel DG33TL board (using G33 northgate chipset)
(this board is attractive for Beowulf computing: onboard vga, good onboard Gb/s
chip.)
latest bios rev 0276 is installed, the appearance of the enable/disable
secondary cores switch is changed, but there is no way to make more than one
processor accessible.
same problem occurs with
E6600 core2duo, only one recognized in linux
Q6600 core2quad older version, same problem only one recognized.
