I cannot do this. I tested it (RC2) on computer I don't have access to it
anymore, I tried to test it now (to provide logs) on Dell Latitude D610 but it
didn't even boot up (reported).

So maybe you are able to reproduce it. This is what I did:
1) boot up KDE RC2
2) yast -> network cards
3) set firewall zone for ethernet, OK
4) check firewall zone for ethernet
5) set firewall for wifi, OK
6) check firewall zone for wifi -- still "no zone".
