Ok, here are the results: (tested with the Opensuse10.3 RC1 live CD
and the ALI USB2-Controller)
- First I run the badblock test on a Sinix PC with 998 MHz clock.
The test failed after reading of 41,2 Gigabytes.
- Second test run on a 1200 MHz MSI PC.
It was possible to read the whole 500GB USB-Harddisk without errors.
So it seems, that ALI USB controllers chipset works only well on PC's
with 1200 MHz and above.
