Unfortunately, I can't reproduce the problem anymore. Something is screwed up
with theming tho. Whenever I change to a different theme, the cursor goes back
to the X default (you know, the old ugly ones). If I enter the 'customize'
menu, the current selection is still 'industrial'. If I choose another cursor
theme and go back to industrial, pretty cursors come back.
