Summary: If /usr is on a seperate partition (e.g. LVM LV),
alsactl can't be run by udev
           Product: openSUSE 10.3
           Version: RC 1
          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: Other
            Status: NEW
          Severity: Normal
          Priority: P5 - None
         Component: Sound
        AssignedTo: tiwai@xxxxxxxxxx

          Found By: ---

/usr is on a seperate partition, in my case a LVM logical value. At bootup,
udev tries to execute alsactl but /usr is not accessible yet:

Starting udevd udevd-event[1966]: run_program: exec of program
'/usr/sbin/alsactl' failed
