https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=327572#c1 Summary: unable to conect to wireless network after upgrading kernel to 2.6.22.5-29-default Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: RC 1 Platform: i686 OS/Version: openSUSE 10.3 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Kernel AssignedTo: kernel-maintainers@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: johan.ferner@gmail.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Customer After upgrading from default RC1 kernel to 2.6.22.5-25-default I can't use my Intel Pro/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection. It did work after the initial install. ipw3945d did run after the initial install. Now all I can select is iwl3945 and that obviously does not work. Reading some other bugreports I'm afraid that you are thinking about removing ipw3945 support in favour of iwl3945. Please don't. I hope ipw3945 will return to my kernel soon... :) I'm trying the KNetworkManager and wpa_supplicant. Both fail. $rpm -qa|grep -i ipw ipw3945-kmp-debug-1.2.2_2.6.22.5_23-2 ipw-firmware-8-42 ipw3945d-1.7.22-6 $uname -a Linux gae1l0ee 2.6.22.5-29-default #1 SMP 2007/09/20 15:19:04 UTC i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
