- Message-id: <bug-326599-21960@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx/>
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=326599
Summary: Abort buttion functionality carries very low priority
and some times fails
Product: openSUSE 10.2
Version: Final
Platform: i386
OS/Version: openSUSE 10.2
Status: NEW
Severity: Major
Priority: P5 - None
Component: YaST2
AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
ReportedBy: alpha096@xxxxxxxxxx
QAContact: jsrain@xxxxxxxxxx
Found By: ---
When any YAST operation is in process pressing the Abort button does not
immediately kill the further processing.
Best example is Yast>Software>Online update configuration.
When the process is activated and a new update server is being located - takes
some time hitting the Abort key does nothing. The Abort key appears to have no
priority over and above any action initiated within YAST.
Suggest Abort Key == Kill Process in all Yast Applications.
This is very poor as the abort key gives the false impression that after a
commit there IS no way out or way of Aborting Process
