[Bug 302116] Xserver shouldn't bail out if Corepointer doesn't work

This ticket contains two bugs :(
I believe that it's intended that the Xserver bails if no core pointer is
registered. This is different than if the mouse device cannot be opened.
Why would the core pointer not be registered? Because the driver isn't
loaded...
This is a serious problem and shouldn't happen.
