[Bug 304632] Apps takes 5-10 seconds to launch if hostname is not resolvable

Something, somewhere is trying to resolve my hostname which is "thiago" but
it's not a valid hostname as there is no IP associated with it. If i put this
line on /etc/hosts, everything starts working:
192.168.15.100 thiago
So, i would look for some call for functions that resolves hostnames.
