Summary: bigsmp kernel cannot find LVM volume groups
           Product: openSUSE 10.2
           Version: Final
          Platform: x86
        OS/Version: openSUSE 10.2
            Status: NEW
          Severity: Major
          Priority: P5 - None
         Component: Kernel
        AssignedTo: kernel-maintainers@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
        ReportedBy: gleixner@xxxxxxxxxx
         QAContact: qa@xxxxxxx
          Found By: Customer

booting the 2.6.18.8-0.5-default kernel works without a problem. But when i try
to boot the same system with the 2.6.18.8-0.5-bigsmp kernel it cannot find any
volume group. Scanning for physical volumes does not work either. The disk
containing the VG is found.
