Okay ... no need to send the requested KPowersave settings file. It's not a
KPowersave problem as it looks to me, but a KDE or X bug. I could reproduce it
and it happen also without KPowersave:

- stop KPowersave
- set/control the screensaver settings in KControl
- disable DPMS via the KControl display menu
- wait ... the screen get off after defined screensaver time (the screensaver
get not started or blanked, the display is off), wait defined time for password
protection and press SPACE: result is no password dialog but the desktop

I assume X or KDE get confused if DPMS get disabled.
