Summary: Kernel Source not updated when kernel updated via
openSUSE updater
Product: openSUSE 10.3
Version: Beta 3
Platform: i686
OS/Version: openSUSE 10.3
Status: NEW
Severity: Normal
Priority: P5 - None
Component: Update Problems
AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
ReportedBy: rschaffter@xxxxxxxxxxx
QAContact: jsrain@xxxxxxxxxx
Found By: Beta-Customer

YaST logs
There was a kernel update available via the openSUSE update applet. I
installed it, which updated the Kernel from 2.6.22.5-10 to 2.6.22.5-12.
However, I discovered after rebooting, when I attempted to recompile the
Madwifi module that the kernel source had not been updated. Installing the
2.6.22.5-12 kernel source manually solved it.
The system had originally Beta 2 installed, and was updated to Beta 3 via SMART
from the factory repository on the 6th of September.
