I have the following settings in kpowersave in the screensaver and dpms
section:  (wording may differ, translated back from german, see screenshot for
german texts)

[ ] special screensaver settings
..
[x] special DPMS settings
    ...
    [x] switch off energy saving features of monitor

In kcontrol, I have set the screensaver to appear after 1 minute, and also have
switched on locking the screen (password protection).

Now what happens after a minute is that the screen goes to energy saving mode
(!) without password protection (which is what makes this bug major).

As a workaround, I have set
[x] special DPMS settings
    ... very long timeouts ...
    [ ] switch off energy saving features of monitor

This bug was probably introduced with the YOU update of kpowersave in 10.2 and
also exists in 10.3 beta3. (Sorry for not testing it earlier!)
