[Bug 299815] floppy does not show up when inserted in drive

If this is helpful: I found that the missing floppy problem and floppy speed
problem (211857) does not exists when in GNOME, it is only on KDE. I found this
while working on bug 211857 and just thought I would mention it in case they
are related. Sorry I thought that no access to a device would be major since
there is no workaround and is critical in some application. I use VMWARE and
Parallels and the guests systems require floppy access. I also have software
keys on floppy required for some things. Since it is not major it looks it may
not be fixed for GA?
