Well, there actually is some message...

When you start checking the media, Status information contains:

 $media_name
    * Medium: $medium_type
    * Size: $medium_size kB

After successful media check, Status information contains:

 $media_name
    * Medium: $medium_type
    * Size: $medium_size kB
    * Result: OK

But honestly, the message is not as visible as it should be :-/

I'm changing this to an Enhancement (for 11.0) and closing as LATER. We'll
probably need to display it somehow better ... maybe <green>OK</green> in case
of success, <red>FAILED</red> in case of failure.

Maybe plus some "$/beep/$" UI::Beep() after checking is done?
