https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=310420 Summary: yast2-printer launches zypper without asking user Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Beta 3 Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Printing AssignedTo: jsmeix@novell.com ReportedBy: coomac@gmail.com QAContact: jsmeix@novell.com Found By: --- When trying to add a new printer with yast2-printer, zypper is automatically launched if a required package is not installed. After repositories are read, the user is then informed that a required package is missing and asked whether it should be installed. Yast2-printer has always informed the user of missing packages _before_ digging into packages. This is annoying because zypper takes a while to read packages, the frontend constantly grabs focus and there is currently no option to refresh repos built into the front end. It's doubly annoying to sit through all that only to find out the package is no longer in the repository. I know zypper is being worked on but it's still far from perfect. Anyhoo, please correct this regression. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
