If I did understand Dean correctly, sax2 refuses to rewrite the xorg.conf with
the patch in place in general - unrelated to the resolution. Yes, this should
be handled in a different bugreport.

I prefer to not reopen this bugreport. Instead open a new one with the
conclusion we got from this one and add a reference from the new one to this
one.

As said before I don't think it's related to a different resolution at all.
And it's not that hard to add "0x046d : 0xc041 : logitech-Gaming"
to /usr/share/sax/sysp/maps/Input.map. :-)
