I talked with Kay offline, and the problem is simply that on this machine a old
kernel (that still has CONFIG_RTC=y) was used together with the new udev
package. This doesn't work.

I checked that the new kernel is now in Autobuild, so this is already fixed.

Watch out for the following changelog entry in kernel-<flavour>:

 - Update config files: Switch from CONFIG_RT to CONFIG_GEN_RTC
