There have been a few reports on the forums of the new kernel patch that went
out for SUSE Linux 10.1 breaking the ipw3945d wireless card on a lenovo X60
laptop. I had a laptop here, so I installed 10.1 on the laptop without updating
and verified that after installing the ipw3945d and ipw-firmware (that comes
with the OS) I was able to get the wireless card working just fine. After
installing all of the updates (including kernel 2.6.16.53-0.8) the ipw3945
wireless card no longer shows up under NetworkManager.
