Not sure if this is a translation or a technical problem.
First I check with zypper:

is up to date.

up to date.
All repositories have been refreshed.

Then I trigger opensuse updater in the kicker. Result: Unable to check whether
updates are available.
Is this now a bug or should it read: No updates available?
