https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=309090 Summary: SATA raid controller driver won't work with beta 3 Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Beta 3 Platform: i586 OS/Version: Linux Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Kernel AssignedTo: kernel-maintainers@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: rccj@ricreig.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Beta-Customer rr174x SATA raid controller that works fine with SuSE 10.2 will not modprobe into beta 3. Mfg supplies GPL source code to the driver which compiles fine undeer 10.2 and will install in kernels up to 2.6.20 but refuses to compile under 2.6.22 and the precompiled driver will not modprobe or insmod into the kernel rendering the controller unable to access the drives it controlls. The controller is visible but without the driver cannot be accessed. This is not a MD or fake raid controller, it is a true raid controller that under 10.2 works exceedingly well. The manufacturer tells me they are unable to get 2.6.22 to compile either. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
