[Bug 308977] active network card reported as disconnected

Following the reboot after installation, the Network Configuration screen came
up and showed the Dell Optiplex (built-in) card twice. Although I had the
configuration right (ifconfig and route -n gave correct output and resolv.conf
was correct), there was no response to pings when I dropped back to console
with ctrl-alt-F2. So I deleted the configuration for that card, and
immediately both cards showed correctly (i.e. the RealTek card appeared).
After reconfiguring the built-in card, everything was OK.
