I've selected to use NetworkManager over the traditional network during
installation, but when the installation was over and I finally had access to my
desktop, the network was not up.  After messing around my Yast2 configuration,
I noticed that the network setting was not set to use NetworkManager. 
Resetting it to use NetworkManager got my network to function.

So, the installer should remember the choice of network managing software after
the installation is complete.
