https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=308339 Summary: Intel Wireless Pro 2200 B/G Issue Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Beta 3 Platform: 32bit OS/Version: openSUSE 10.3 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Network AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: spielnicht@gmail.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Beta-Customer I've installed and used openSUSE 10.2 for 9 months on my Sony laptop without any issues. The Intel 2200 wireless card was detected and configured automatically. I decided to install openSUSE 10.3 Beta 3 this past week. Everything installed and worked properly except the wireless card. - During installation, openSUSE was able to use the card to connect to the online repositories to download additional packages. Once installation was complete and I instructed it to download the latest updates, openSUSE could not connect. The network connection test where it attempts to download the latest release notes failed. - Once rebooted and in the KDE desktop, the knetworkmanager does not show that a wireless card exists. The interesting part, if I disable the wireless card via the switch on my laptop, it does display that there is a wireless card, but I still cannot use it to connect to a wireless network. - Under the Network settings in the YaST control panel, I can see there are two cards, but only the second is recognized. I tried removing and re-adding the Intel framework and driver through YaST, but with little success. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
