https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=307375 Summary: Confirm::MustBeRoot() does not work in 1st stage of installation Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Beta 2 Platform: Other OS/Version: openSUSE 10.3 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: YaST2 AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: kmachalkova@novell.com QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: --- MustBeRoot() function from Confirm.ycp fails in 1st stage of installation since there is no /usr/bin/id in inst-sys, hence no way to determine UID of the user. The function should assume we have root privileges in 1st stage by default and return true. Moreover, some checking whether /usr/bin/id actually exists and is executable could be added as well. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
