[Bug 307038] latest factory (31.8.2007) fails to boot soft raid

I think the problem is due to udev is creating dm-? devices and runs dmsetup
which locks all partitions. I played around with evms, but I can't remember
that I activated it.
Is there an easy way to find out if it is activated and how can disable it
again?
