Indeed, this would be the best solution. I would have chosen this if the
conflicts dialog would accept my choice :-/

This won't solve the problem because there are other package sources outside of
the buildservice. (Yes, I know they are also unsupported.)
And there might even be problems when using official packages - for example, I
have kept agrep-4.0 from SUSE 8.2 (it was dropped after 8.2). Now it re-appared
in the distribution with version number agrep-0.7...
