up and down volume on the compaq R4200 does work properly running 32 or 64 bit
suse. when the up or down volume button is pressed it does not move the the
users acquired volume. instead it goes straight up or straight down.

when the user tries to move the volume up from kde bar after pressing the down
button it becomes uncontrollable for the user which requires them to reboot
suse.
