Summary: Logitech QuickCam for Notebooks uses wrong module
Product: openSUSE 10.3
Version: Beta 2
Platform: Other
OS/Version: Other
Status: NEW
Severity: Normal
Priority: P5 - None
Component: Kernel
AssignedTo: kernel-maintainers@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
ReportedBy: bugzilla.novell@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
QAContact: qa@xxxxxxx
Found By: ---
The zc0301 was loaded automatically when I plugged in my new Logitech QuickCam.
This module does not produce any picture. (It is just green and a little black)
This camera is supposed to work with the gspca driver therefore I installed the
corresponding kmp. (gspcav-kmp-default-01.00.12_2.6.22.5_2-5)
Now both drivers get loaded and the camera is not working.
I had to blacklist zc0301 in /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist to get this camera
working.
This camera is the recommended webcam from the linux-user magazine 7/07 and
therefore a lot of germans will have bought this webcam.
