https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=301318 Summary: Command line synchronisation yast2 - zenworks Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Final Platform: All OS/Version: openSUSE 10.2 Status: NEW Severity: Enhancement Priority: P5 - None Component: YaST2 AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: admin@different-perspectives.com QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: --- I find synchronisation between yast2 installation sources and zenworks fails often. Correcting this is a real pain - slow and has highest success rate at night. (The problem seems to stem from unavailability of installation sources, and the different ways different parts of the suite react to this and to timeouts.) A command line tool which would: 1) delete any zenworks services / catalogs which aren't synchronised with yast2 2) add (synchronise) into zenworks any active yast2 installation sources which aren't in zenworks. This I could schedule to run at night, and would do nothing if all is OK. If there are problems, it will fix them progressively. If it overruns, it could be safely cancelled and rerun without harm. It would be a major help!
