--- Comment #9 from Kees Bakker 2007-08-14 12:13:07 MST ---
This problem with rootfstype=nfs also shows up on my system which has /dev/md0
as the root device. The problem is that in scripts/setup-nfs.sh it does the
following the determine whether a rootdev is NFS or not
case "$rootdev" in
*:*)
rootfstype=nfs
;;
esac
However, in my case, with rootdev=/dev/md0 it finds the following:
[storage.sh]
Root device: /dev/disk/by-id/md-uuid-a543aa77:392f0138:f6742e6b:e0b7cda7
(/dev/md0) (mounted on / as ext3)
Root device: /dev/disk/by-id/md-uuid-a543aa77:392f0138:f6742e6b:e0b7cda7
(/dev/md0) (mounted on / as ext3)
rootdev = '/dev/disk/by-id/md-uuid-a543aa77:392f0138:f6742e6b:e0b7cda7'
rootfstype = 'ext3'
Notice the semicolon! Then lateron on it does scripts/setup-nfs.sh and it
thinks it found an NFS device.
One solution is to catch normal devices first. Something like this
case "$rootdev" in
/dev/*)
;;
*:*)
rootfstype=nfs
;;
esac
