https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=300295 Summary: FDISK error on MD raid Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Final Platform: i586 OS/Version: openSUSE 10.2 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Maintenance AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: rccj@ricreig.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Beta-Customer Created an attachment (id=157462) --> (https://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=157462) Shows example session exhibiting the error FDisk -l reports corrupted or missing partition table on a MDraid device when in fact the drive is functioning properly. Tests were run against the device which included a simple 'mount /dev/md3'" which did not report an error followed by a mount |grep to see if it reported it connected, and it was. Then a fsck -Vf -n was performed with no errors reported. Additionally, this device is normally used as a backup for my home directory so it is used frequently so I would think I would notice if it didn't have a valid partition table as reported by fdisk. Enclosed is a copy/paste of the session showing the commands and the response (as root) and a screenshot of my partition setup from the yast partitioner. The error occurs on the other partitons on the MD raid as well with identical results. They are 100% intact according to FSCK and normal use. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
