Summary: Enabling XGL make login manager disappeared
Product: openSUSE 10.3
Version: Alpha 7
Platform: Other
OS/Version: Other
Status: NEW
Severity: Normal
Priority: P5 - None
Component: YaST2
AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
ReportedBy: romain.pelissier@xxxxxxxxx
QAContact: jsrain@xxxxxxxxxx
Found By: ---
I have tried to enable xgl in the OpenSuse 10.3 alpha 7 without any luck.
In 10.2, the documentation says that to enable xgl and compiz, the only things
that I need to do is suing the sysconfig editor and select xgl instead of xorg
and use compiz instead of kde (not sure if it is kde that appear in the list, I
will update the bug report as soon as I can for this).
Now, compiz even if installed is not listed in the list anymore so I can't
select it.
Also, selecting xgl make the login manager never appear, I only have a black
screen with the mouse coursor. I have to enable xorg in sysconfig to bring the
login manager back.
What is the correct process to enable xgl and compiz in OpenSuse 10.3 alpha 7?
I have put this nug report into the Yast category but it is maybe not a Yast
related issue.
